College Planning Network is a non-profit organization that provides two-hour workshops on various college planning topics. Dollars for Scholars chapters are welcome to attend prescheduled workshops held at various schools across the state or schedule one in their own school or community.

American Express Financial Advisors Workshops - Free
American Express Financial Advisors provide college financial planning seminars for parents and students. Northwest Dollars for Scholars can arrange for a local or nearby America Express financial advisor to work with your chapter.

State Farm Insurance Financial Planning Workshops for Parents of College Bound Students - Free
State Farm Agent, Jeffrey Taylor, provides workshops for Seattle based chapters who want to help local parents understand how they can better prepare and save for their children's college education.

Scholarship America's Programs for High School Seniors and Parents
ParentShop - A series of interactive workshops to help parents understand career and college exploration and better support their children in the process.  Topics include Ourselves and Our Kids, Career Exploration, Ourselves and Our Children's Schools, Admissions and Financial Aid, and From Here to There (Making Transitions).  Ready-to-use overheads, handouts, and step-by-step instructions make ParentShop easily implemented in diverse settings.  Also available in Spanish.

Transition to College - A series of activities for high school seniors that have already made a commitment to attend a postsecondary institution.  The activities address housing, money matters, academic adjustment, time management, making new friends and more to help students make the transition to college a success.
