Director of Advancement, West Coast Region
Scholarship America, the nation's largest nonprofit scholarship and educational support organization, is seeking an experienced fundraising professional to raise private philanthropic support on the West Coast primarily focusing on individual major gifts.

The ideal candidate will have a Baccalaureate degree from accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 or more years experience in fundraising. A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credential is a plus. Demonstrated experience in identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gifts prospects and donors.

The position requires solid communication skills as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team. Strong computer skills including experience with the Microsoft Office programs (especially Word, Excel and Outlook) and Raiser's Edge fundraising software are required. A commitment to supporting education and Scholarship America's mission are essential.

The position will report to Scholarship America's national advancement office based in Edina, MN and maintain close working relationships with our Dollars for Scholars Program’s regional offices. Residence in a major West Coast Metropolitan area is a plus. Scholarship America offers a competitive compensation package, which is commensurate with qualifications.
